Parents and Mes Amis,
After taking a one hour train ride from Lyon to Grenoble, we arrived safe and sound. We met with the director of the camp-Alan- and he showed us our way to the campsite. We drove through the winding hills of the Alps to reach our destination and made it safely. We unloaded our luggage in the dorms (which happen to be very nice dorms for a camp, not what you would think of in America). Alan took us on a tour of Champfleuri and gave us the history, etc. We then went high into the scenic Alps and took pictures-how amazing is God's creation! Since our arrival, we've been treated well-especially with the food! Today we worked with the International church of Grenoble and put on a puppet show for the children. Most, if not all, the poeple here were English speaking. After the puppet show, we headed for The French Evangelical Church and listened to a sermon which was spoken in French. We ate lunch in the church building and toured Grenoble with our French guide Thomas who works at Champfleuri. In the evening we worked with Thomas' youth group. We sang/prayed/talked together and discussed one another's culture and faith. Tomorrow we will begin to prime/paint a remodeled room on the campsite. We are thinking of you and continue to appreciate your prayers for us and the people of France.
